What to Look for in Computers for Stock Trading by thomasgalvin
Wondering what it takes to have a great computer setup for your day trading? If you’re using a factory built computer for your day trading, then you are already off the path to having a stellar system. Custom day trading computer systems are necessary for this field because they come with everything you can possibly need, including multiple monitor screens, high definition graphics cards and a super fast processor like the i7 Sandy Bridge model.
Finding a web site that customizes computers for stock trading may not be so simple at first. This is especially so because there are so many that claim to have the best components. A lot of these entities use lower-end components for their day trading computer systems and still charge thousands of dollars. It’s alright if you’re not a computer whiz because you don’t have to be. All you need to learn about is what it takes to make your day trading easier.
You will need to search around for a web site that has computers for stock trading that has all of the components on the list that you have created. On your list should include items like an ATI FirePro 2460 OCle 2.0×16 graphics card, a double digit amount of memory RAM, at least a terabyte of hard drive space, multiple monitors made by either Samsung or Asus and stellar cooling system that will allow your computer to run without overheating.
Multiple monitors are very important for day trading computer systems. Without them, it is very hard to keep an eye on real-time data, since you have to click through multiple windows using one screen. Expand your visibility by having several computer monitors set up and make sure that they are all set with the same settings.
The amount of memory RAM that your computer system has will determine how many processes you will be able to run at one time. Then your processor will determine how fast these processes will run when opened. The two go hand-in-hand with providing you with an awesomely-working computer system. Having lots of hard drive space is also recommended, so that you can store all of the data needed without having to erase anything to free up space.
A lot of beginner day traders opt to use a laptop computer for trading because it is portable, but it isn’t designed to withhold a lot of juice. Plus, the way they are built makes it hard to view multiple windows at once. Even with a hand mouse, you won’t be able to connect several monitors at once. Your computer will soon slow down after a while and it will heat up pretty quickly.

Diamond Dyke $0.99 A most authentic-seeming book about the difficulties a pair of young Britons faced when they went to South Africa, and set up an ostrich farm in the dry and largely empty veldt. They had a married couple of the locals to help them, and of these the man wasn’t much use. They also had a most sagacious dog, who figures largely in the story. One of the enemies they had to face was lions. One day they found they needed more stores, so young Dyke, barely sixteen years of age, has to go on a six or seven day journey to the farm of the nearest honest storekeeper, a fat old German, seventy years of age. On the way back there is a serious delay due to a flash flood which took several days to clear. But when they get back they find that the older brother is seriously ill of an African fever. The local people had been sure he would die, and were preparing to move in and take what stock there was. But young Dyke nurses his brother back to health. A little later the old German turns up at the farm, and makes a discovery which would change the fortunes of the brothers for ever. A very gripping story in the best Fenn style, very hard to put down. According to Wikipedia: “George Manville Fenn (January 3, 1831, Pimlico – August 26, 1909, Isleworth) was a British writer. He worked as a teacher in Lincolnshire, until he became printer, editor and publisher of various magazines. He had eight children with his wife Susanna Leake, whom he had married in 1855.
